Jonathan Leigh, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Leigh

Jonathan Leigh, M.D. is the leading evolutionary psychologist in the world and one of the most profound scientific theorists and thinkers in history. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Evolutionary Biology, and studied at UCSB with Dr. Donald Symon and Dr. John Tooby in Evolutionary Psychology. After obtaining an M.A. degree in Biosocial Anthropology from UCSB, he earned his M.D. from the UCLA School of Medicine.

While at UCSB in 1997, at the age of 26, Dr. Leigh proposed 4 revolutionary theories in Evolutionary Psychology:

1.     The Evolution of Condemnation

2.     Evolutionary Sociology

3.     The Evolution of Love

4.     Reverse Engineering of Psychological Mechanisms From Psychiatric Disorders

After decades of medical practice, at the age of 50, he finally wrote a book on his theory on the evolution of condemnation.

The Evolution of Condemnation is the scientific theory that explains human morality in purely scientific and naturalistic terms, making the study of human morality, or "moralogy", a branch of science just like biology or physics. The natural phenomenon of human morality, and by extension human ethics, laws and religions, is continuous with the natural phenomena of evolution, genetics, and chemistry.
